Delete your data
You can delete everything Hookquill holds about you, yourself, at any time. Your account and everything in it go straight away; voiceover audio files follow within 7 days.
How to delete your data
- Sign in and open Settings.
- If you are on a paid plan, deleting your data cancels the subscription too, so you are not charged again.
- Choose Delete my data and confirm.
Can’t sign in? Email support@hookquill.com from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.
What gets deleted
- Your account and workspace
- Every Creator Profile, with your questionnaire answers and uploaded material
- Every script and all of its versions, ideas, reviews, packaging and teardowns
- The record of your AI requests and their outputs
- Your links to the channels you added
- Any share links you created, which stop working straight away
- Your voiceover audio files, within 7 days
This cannot be undone. If you want to keep your scripts, export them as Markdown or PDF first.
What is not deleted
- Nothing on YouTube. Deleting your Hookquill data does not delete, change or unlist anything on your YouTube channel: your videos, comments and channel stay exactly as they are.
- Public YouTube information we cached. Details of public channels and videos are shared across accounts and contain nothing you wrote. They are refreshed or deleted within 30 days anyway, and dropped once no account uses them.
- Billing records. Polar, our merchant of record, keeps transaction records for as long as tax law requires.
Revoke Google access
If you signed in with Google, deleting your data does not remove Hookquill from your Google account’s list of connected apps. To do that, open your Google third-party access settings, choose Hookquill, and remove its access. You can do this at any time, whether or not you delete your data.
