Refund policy
Every script Hookquill writes is paid to an AI provider the moment it runs, so we cannot take that cost back. That is why payments are non-refundable, and why you can try everything free first: your first video, with 150 free credits when you sign in with Google, no card needed.
Payments are final
Subscription payments, renewals and credit top-ups are non-refundable. That includes unused credits, the unused part of a month or year, and a renewal you meant to cancel.
What we always fix
- A duplicate charge. If you were charged twice for the same thing, we refund the extra charge.
- A charge after you cancelled. If a renewal went through after your cancellation took effect, we refund it.
- A failed AI action. If an action fails, its credits go back to your balance automatically. You never pay credits for output you did not get.
Email support@hookquill.com within 30 days of the charge, with the email address on your account.
Cancelling
Cancel any time from Settings. No more renewals are charged, and you keep your plan and its credits until the end of the period you paid for. Then the account moves to the free plan. There are no cancellation fees.
Your rights under the law
Nothing in this policy removes a right to a refund that the law where you live gives you. If that law gives you a period to withdraw from an online purchase: Hookquill is digital content supplied immediately, so when you start a paid plan you ask us to begin straight away and accept that your right to withdraw ends once the service has been supplied. Where the law still requires a refund, you will get one.
How refunds are paid
Payments are processed by Polar, our merchant of record. Any refund goes back through Polar to the card or account you paid with. Your bank may take a few business days to show it.
If you believe a charge is wrong, please email us before disputing it with your bank; we answer faster than a chargeback. This policy is part of our terms of service.
