Affiliate terms

The program is invite-only. We review applications by hand and may decline one without giving a reason. We may pause or end an affiliate account at any time, for example for breaking these terms.

• A customer is yours when they sign up through your link within 60 days of clicking it, as a new account. If they used someone else’s link more recently, the more recent link counts.
• You earn 30% of what that customer pays for subscriptions in their first 3 months, after discounts and before tax. A yearly plan counts as 3 twelfths of its price. Credit top-ups do not earn commission.
• Your audience gets 20% off their first payment through your link.
• A refunded or charged-back payment cancels its commission.

• A commission becomes payable 30 days after the payment it comes from.
• Request a payout from your dashboard once $50 is payable. We send it by PayPal or Wise to the email you give us, usually within 7 days. You are responsible for any tax on what you earn.

• Referring yourself, or accounts you control.
• Paid search ads on Hookquill’s name, or pretending to be Hookquill.
• Spam, misleading claims, or promising results we do not promise.
• Coupon and cashback sites, unless we agree to it in writing.

Commissions earned against these rules are not paid.

Tell your audience you earn a commission, clearly and near the link: for example “#ad” or “I earn a commission if you subscribe”, and turn on YouTube’s paid promotion label for sponsored videos.
